Dear Fellow Runner,
Thank you for visiting our site and our family business.
In our thousands of miles on the trails, our Chief Map Guy, Phil, has kept us on course (or gotten us back on course) hundreds of times, both in leisure and in official races.
You may have seen Phil at a race. He’s the guy with the overstuffed pack who’s dressed like a candy corn and wearing four watches. Though no one accepts his fashion advice, he’s saved many runners’ race finishes by pointing them in the right direction, often when the runner didn’t even know they were confused.
We’ve done enough ultras to know that you plan your whole life around them–from your diet to your work shoes to your vacation schedule. You may invest thousands of dollars in training, gear, travel, and accommodations for the privilege and wonderment of testing your muster against Mother Nature and the timeclock.
We want to offer you the tool our family has come to rely on for optimizing our results every time we toe the start line: GPX information for your Garmin device that will both point you in the right direction and even let you know if you’ve gone astray*. Jill has run many ultras with Phil, but she has also finished four 200-milers on her own, all using Phil’s GPX tracks.
Phil has been running ultras for 30 years, and he has designed and helped design courses for many of your favorite ultras, including for distances over 200 miles. Phil uses his mapping expertise, official course maps, satellite images, and existing GPX data to customize a GPX course that takes you exactly where you want to go–and not one step further.
If you would like to have this assurance of getting there and finding out for yourself what it feels like to cross that finish line, please check out our courses here.
If you have questions or don’t see a race you’re looking for, please contact us at help@runGTFO.com.
We look forward to seeing you on the trails!
Sincerely,
Phillip, Patrick, Joanna, Hyperphil, & Jill
